I’ve driven a Semi truck across the lower 48 states (sans the state of Maine)

I am now writing stories, something that I have actually done my entire life. To either tell them or write them. My children are grown, most of my grandchildren are also, and I am now watching my great-grandchildren grow up via video, as the youngest one is not in the state.

I love coffee and my cats. Queen Midna, a beautiful black American short-haired, with green eyes, often comes to bump my elbow and tell me I need a break, to pet her, of course.

I should have taught her to use those talking buttons. Because honestly, I do not speak Cat-o-nese. Her partner in crime, Link, is an orange tabby. (I take a daily allergy pill to live with him.) He also has green eyes, and one scraggly dagger of a tooth that hangs below his bottom jaw.

     Cherry Wright is a pen name, a name a writer uses to not give out their real name.  

     I use the name Cherry Wright to remember my baby sister.  

     I love to write stories for children from my sister's point of view.  I hope that by reading this story that Cherry wrote, it will make you know that you, too, can write stories or do anything. 

     My grandpa used to tell me there was no such thing as try. You either did, or you didn’t. 

     When I’d say, “I can’t!” 

    His favorite saying to me when I was a little girl was “Can’t never could do nothing.” It took until I grew up to know he meant, as long as you say you can’t, you aren’t doing. 

     I hope that you will always remember that you CAN do anything you set your mind to do. Doing anything new means you have to study how and learn the way to do it.
